バンコクの街で女子大生やＯＬが肩から掛けているのを良く見かけるISSEY MIYAKEのBAOBAOバッグ。王女様も愛用されているとのニュースもあってタイですごく人気だという。バンコクにも何軒か正規の販売店があるが、日本で買うほうが品揃えも多く割安に買えるとあって、一時帰国の時には、タイ人の同僚から是非買ってきて欲しいと頼まれる。札幌のショップに行った時も、数人のタイ人が必死に品定めをしているのを見てビックリ。街中で模造品（？）が売られているのも人気の証拠？

I can find many young ladies, college student or business ladies, carrying BAO BAO bags by ISSEY MIYAKE frequently in downtown Bangkok. It is said this popularity boosted by a news that Royal family also loves this bag. These bags are available in some shops in Bangkok but variety of items and price could be much attractive in Japan. So whenever I go back to Japan, my colleague ask me to purchase of new model. When I visited a shop in Sapporo I was surprised to see a group of Thai people selecting bags enthusiastically. Imitation bags (?) are also sold in other places, it could be proof of popularity.
