アイスホッケー観戦/ Ice hockey games in Tokyo

平昌がいよいよ近づいてきました。男子アイスホッケーチームは、残念ながら、オリンピックには出られませんが、選手たちはアジアリーグで熱い戦いを続けています。この週末は東京で日本の４チームの戦いが見られるというので見てきました。

Regrettably, man's Japanese Ice hockey team cannot play in the winter Olympic Games in Pyongyang, but players are doing exciting play in an Asian hockey league. I went to a higashi-fushimi Dydo-drinco ice arena for watching 4 Japanese teams in there.

アイスホッケーの試合を生で見るのは、初めてでしたが、結構興奮しました。次回のオリンピックには日本チーム、ぜひ出て欲しいです。

This is the first time to watch hockey game in a arena, but I was very exciting. I hope Japanese team can join to the next winter Olympic Games.

甲子園球場外野席での野球観戦/ Baseball watching at outfield bleachers in the Ko-shien ball park

一時帰国を利用しての野球観戦（4月10日）。残念ながら、バンコクに暮らしていると、生のプロ野球観戦は難しい。東京や地方球場で観戦に行ったことはあったが、甲子園での野球観戦は考えてみれば20年以上ぶり。大阪人の独特のパンチの効いた野次を聴きながら甲子園初体験の我が家の子供も大満足。36年ぶりに復活したチアリーダー、今のところ前回とは違って評判も良さそう、何とかチームが好成績を残して定着して欲しいところ。約3時間半のサヨナラゲームを応援したら、次の日は喉が痛かった。

I went to watch a professional baseball match at 10th of April during temporary home country visit since I could not do so in Bangkok. Although I went to watch a match in Tokyo area or other local city but this was first time to visit Ko-shien ball park more than twenty years. I enjoyed a match by hearing a jeering by fans in Osaka area with unique witness and my son also enjoyed very much too. Popularity of newly started cheer leaders of the team which was re-organized after 36 years of downtime seems quite good in spite of unpopularity of the last ones. I hope the they could cheer the good condition of team for leading victory. After cheering 3 and half hour good game I felt soar throat next day.

タイからもソチに参戦/ Thai joins the Sochi Winter games

ソチオリンピックが開幕した。南国タイでは残念ながら日本のように盛り上がってはいないが、タイからも大回転等アルペン競技に男女それぞれ一人ずつ参戦するという。
特に、女性のヴァネッサ・メーさんはプロのヴァイオリニストで、写真を見ても、天は彼女にいくつの才能を与えたのかと思ってしまうほどの才色兼備。
持っている記録では上位を狙うのは難しいようなので、テレビ等で応援するのも難しいかもしれないが、タイに住むものとして頑張って欲しいと思う。
二人ともヨーロッパに住んで技術を磨いたそうだが、今のタイ人の北海道人気を考えれば、日本でスキーを覚えたタイ人が、日本でトレーニングして冬季五輪で活躍する日も来るのではと勝手に期待している。
ソチオリンピックでの日本人選手とそれからタイ人選手の活躍を期待したい。

The Sochi Winter Olympic game has been opened yesterday.　The winter Olympic is not so popular here in tropical Thailand than Japan. But I am a little bit surprised to know 2 Thai athletes are joining competition in Alpine skiiing such as Giant Slalom.
Particularly, woman's skier, Vanessa Mae is also famous as an eminent violinist. When I saw her picture I was astonished to feel how many talents she got from nature?
Considering their records, we cannot expect to see top class competition by TV broadcasting but I wish they are able to play their best.
I heard both of them are living in Europe and preparing their game by training there. However considering popularity of Hokkaido, Japan in these days, I hope some Thai athletes who started skiing or other winter game in Japan might to join Winter Olympic game some day.
I wish good game and competition by all Japanese as well as Thai Athletes in Sochi.

室内サーフィン/ Surfing in a room

最近オープンしたバンコク市内のショッピングモールで見つけた屋内サーフィン場。サーフィン好きにはたまらない施設なんだろうと思う。爽快さでは大自然の中よりは劣るだろうが、皆の前で自慢の腕前を見せられるのも気分がいいだろう。昔嗅いだようなバブルの香りが少しした。

Recently, I found a facility for surfing in a building of a shopping mall in Bangkok. It could be very attractive place for surfing freaks. It could be good place for show-off surfers who can enjoy playing in front of spectators, however refreshing felling might be inferior than in the nature. I can feel something like same feeling that I felt more than twenty years ago in Japan as before bubble had been broken.
