今年の庭園めぐりの振り返り/ Look back this year's garden visiting

私のお気に入りの植物園の一つ、神代植物公園に行って来ました。花が少ないこの時期ですが、寒椿や山茶花が咲き、蝋梅がさわやかな香りを放って春を待っています。

I visited Jindai botanical garden one of the most favorite garden, and enjoyed to watch Sasanqua camellia, Japanese camellia or Winter sweet in a season of few flowers. In a garden sweet smell of winter sweet fells callinf for spring.

I look back this year and realize I can feel seasons by watching many flowers in these gardens, in some time in gardens where I visited by trips. ヴィエンチャン点描 Sketch of Vientiane

今年最後の出張でヴィエンチャンを訪れてきました。数年ぶりに訪れ、随分と高いビルと車が増えた感じましたが、それでも人口８０万の落ち着いた街です。
I just retuned from Vientiane on my last duty trip in this year. It was a first visit in 5-6 years and recognized the city has been devlpped with many trafic and high building, but still calm and gentle city with 800 thousands population.

ラオス式にパリの凱旋門を模して造られたパトゥーサイ、上から街やメコン川一望できます。街の中ものんびりしていますが、郊外にでるともっとのんびりした景色が広がっています。
Victry gate, Patuxai, combined with Laotian style with Arc de Triomphe in Paris, from the top you can watch city and Mekong river. Just outside the city scene become more peaceful.

トゥクトゥクもどこかのんびりですね。Tuk-tuk also looks peaceful and not so rush.

青空のもと輝くタート・ルアン。１７００年以上の歴史があり、ラオスの歴史を反映して 破壊と再建を繰り返してきました。
Gold shinnig Pha That Luang, Great Stupa, under clear blue sky.It has more than 17 houndreds histry with countinuous destroy and reconstraction reflecting Lao's history.

関のボロ市と餡餅（シャーピン） A flea market called “boro-ichi” and xiànbǐng, shepherd's pie

武蔵関、本立寺のボロ市の屋台の餡餅（シャーピン）が美味しいと評判なので行ってきました。市の始まる朝１０時には、すでにかなりの行列です。お客さんが皆５枚、１０枚と買っていくので、列がなかなか進まず、１時間ほど待って、やっと買うことができました。

I just visited a kind of flea market called “boro-ichi” in front of Honryuji temple, for purchasing popular a xiànbǐng, shepherd's pie, at a street stall. When I arrived at the opening time, 10 AM, and I found already quite long line. Since many customers ordered 5 or 10 pieces of pies, I had to wait more than one hour to reach my turn

本立寺のボロ市は日蓮上人の命日に農具やぼろ布などを売る市として江戸時代に始まった市ですが、最近はこの餡餅などの屋台が有名のようです。

. This market was originally started as a death anniversary festival for a holy priest Nichiren in Edo era more than 200 years ago for selling farmers' tool or old clothes, but now popular for many food stand in a street.

餡餅は餡にしっかりと味がついていて、ビールに最高でした。

Xiànbǐng is rich taste and very good for beer!

晩秋の向日葵/ Sunflower in late autumn

向日葵といえば盛夏のイメージですが、神奈川の寒川では、冬枯れに向かい風景がモノトーンになるこの時期に、向日葵が満開になっているというので、出かけてきました。夏の向日葵に比べると随分小ぶりですが、十分に元気をもらえました。

I had a stereotype image that sunflower is a typical hot summer flower, but I have to change my thought by watching a field filled with full blooming in such late autumn in Samukawa town in Kanagawa prefecture. In a austere monotone landscape moving to winter, bright yellow flowers, even they were smaller than ones in summer, enough cheered me up.
