丘に咲く芝桜/ Moss phlox blooming on a hills

初夏のような季節の中、秩父の羊山公園の芝桜を見てきました。
In a hot day like a early summer, I visited Hitsujiyama park in Chichibu city, Sitama.

花の満開には少し早かったようですが、連休中ということもあり大勢の人が花の色のコントラストを楽しんでいました。

It can be a little bit earlier full blooming on a hill, but many visitors were enjoyed to watch contrast of color covering hills, since now Japan is in middle of “Golden week” spring holiday season.

江戸東京たてもの園に行ってきました。I visited a Edo-Tokyo Open-air Architectural Museum

連休初日の爽やかな陽気に誘われ、小金井にある江戸東京たてもの園に行ってきました。

I visited a Edo-Tokyo Open-air Architectural Museum in Koganei-city in a fine day of beginning of spring holiday season.

ここは主に江戸時代から明治・大正・昭和にかけての貴重な建物を移築して保存してあるところで、建物が使われていた当時の様子を知ることができて面白いかったです。
In the open air museum, many valuable architects such as residence, farmers house or shop which had been constructed during Edo, Meiji, Taisho and Showa era more than 300 years are exhibited in a park. So, we can understand life style in old time when these buildings were used.

通りにそって懐かしい商店街が再現されています。正面は銭湯です。
Along a street, old fashined shopping street is recontructed. At the end of the street, you can see a building of public bath.

銭湯の建物は立派です。つい暖簾をくぐりたくなります。
Gorgeous building of a public bath, my memory of childhood was returned.

古い居酒屋です。ついここも暖簾をくぐりたくなります。
A building of old Japnese bar, you cannot resisit to enter into the bar?

こちらは酒・醤油屋さんのレジスター懐かしいですね。
In a liquear shop, can you feel nostalgicto see old type register.

かやぶきの古い農家からは、囲炉裏で燃える木の香りが漂ってきます。
From a big farmer's house, I was able to feel good smell of byrning wood.

旧三井財閥の家、ひときわ立派です。
Excellent residence building od former Mitsui Combine (Zaibatsu).

まだまだ紹介しきれない素敵な建物がいっぱいです。よろしければ、ぜひ訪ねて、実際の建物に触れてみて下さい。
There are huge buildings and I cannot show here, plesesa visit and touch actual buikdings, if you are interested in.

プレミアムフライデーを利用して、小石川後楽園でリラックス/ I relaxed at Koishigawa korakuen garden at afternoon of a “premium Friday”, last Friday in a month.

最近はずっと忙しい日が続いていたのですが、金曜の午後になって仕事が片付き、少し時間ができました。気づけば、今日は最終金曜日で「プレミアムフライデー」。少しお休みを頂き、久しぶりに小石川後楽園を散策してきました。

I have been having busy days recently, but Today, some my hard tasks has just completed and luckily I could find some spare time. Then I noticed Today is a “Premium Friday” it is a last Friday in a month and recommended to be rest by the Government. Therefore I just visited Koishigawa korakuen garden for relaxing.

花菖蒲には少し早かったですが、杜若が紫や白い花を咲かせていました。そして小道の脇には姫空木の白い花が。明日からいよいよゴールデンウイーク。少しのんびり出来そうです。

Iris laevigata/ Rabit-ear iris/ カキツバタ

Deutzia gracilis/ Slender deutzia/ ヒメウツギ

Although a little bit earlier for Iris ensata; Japanese Iris or Hanasyobu, but I could watch blue and white flowers of rabbit-ear iris in a shallow pond. Also pretty flowers of Slender deutzia are along a path in the garden. Form tomorrow, I hope I can enjoy a “golden week” in Japan for relaxing.

ジュネーブの春の妖精たち/ Spring ephemerals in Geneva

３月の終わりにジュネーブに少しだけ行ってきました。そのあと忙しくて、整理に時間がかかりましたが、ジュネーブの植物園で出会えた春の妖精・スプリングエフェメラルたちをご紹介します。
I has a chance to visit to Geneva end of March, I would like to upload some pictures of pretty flowers called “spring ephemeras”. Sorry since I was a little bit busy in these days so it took long time before uploading.

まずは、プリムローズと呼ばれるサクラソウの仲間です。黄色い花がジュネーブの街の中のあちこちで見られました。ピンクや赤みがかったものもあります。
Yellow flowers of primrose, one of Primula genus, are commonly seen in Geneva and pinkish or reddish one are also found.

Primula vulgaris/ Primrose/ プリムローズ

同じプリムラ属の仲間ですが、こちらは日本のクリンソウに近い種類です。
This is flower called cowslips, also species of Primula, and similar species Japanese cowslip or Kurinsou in Japanese.

Primula veris/ Cowslip/ キバナノクリンザクラ

こちらは、日本のアズマイチゲやイチリンソウに近い、アネモネの仲間です。
These flowers are Anemone family, some flowers are very close to Japanese Anemone, like Ichirinsou.

Anemone nemorosa/ Wood anemone/ ヤブイチゲ

Anemone blanda/ Balkan anemone/ ハナアネモネ

これらの毛に覆われたつぼみの花は日本ではオキナグサと呼ばれている花の仲間ですが、アネモネにも近い種類です。
These pasque flowers are in Japan called "Okinagusa" simillar to anemone and unique silky haired bud.

Pulsatilla vulgaris/ Pasque flower/ セイヨウオキナグサ

Anemone halleri/Pulsatilla halleri/ Haller's anemone/ プルサチラ・ハーレリ

日本のオオツルボの仲間のシラーの仲間たちです。
Belows are family of squill or Scilla genus which is called in Japan Tsurubo.

Scilla bifolia/ Alpine squill/ シラー・ビフォリア

Scilla messeniaca/ Greek Squill/ シラーメッセニアカ

Scilla mischtschenkoana/ Mishchenko squill/ シラー・ミスクトスケンコアナ

こちらは、スミレの仲間ですが、ニオイスミレの名前の通り、かなりの芳香があります。
Sweet violet is famous of its aromatic smell.

Viola odorata/ Sweet violet/ ニオイスミレ

こちらの花は、英語にはvioletが入っていますが、カタクリの仲間です。
This flower named as dogs tooth violet but not violet groups and same family "katakuri" Asian fawnlily in Japanese.

Erythronium dens-canis/ Dog's-tooth-violet/ セイヨウカタクリ

日本のフキノトウにそっくりなアルブスフキです。
The flower heads are compact racemes of composite floweres or capitula with white ligules, very simmilar to Japanese Fuki.

Petasites albus/ White butterbur/ アルブス・フキ

こちらは、葉がフキに似て、花がタンポポのようなのでフキタンポポと呼ばれているようです。
The yellow flowers, which superficially resemble dandelions, open on leafless stems in early spring

Tussilago farfara/ Coltsfoot/ フキタンポポ

日本でもチオノドクサと呼ばれている花です。
The tepals of flower are violet-blue, somewhat paler at the base, producing a paler 'eye' at the centre of the flower.

Chiondoxa sardensis/ Lesser glory-of-the-snow/ チオノドクサ サルデンシス

こちらは、アブラナ科の花ですが、赤から紫の花を咲かせています。
The flowers on upright stems with darken to a purplish colour as they mature.

Erysimum scoparium/ Canary Island's Wallflower/ エリシマム・リニフォリウム

この紫の花はハイムラサキとも呼ばれますが、肺の病気に効く薬草だそうです。
This herb is used for medical herb for lung deseases.

Pulmonaria officinalis/ Lungwort/ プルモナリア

日本に自生するヤマルリソウの近縁種で、花は勿忘草にも似ています。
It produces clusters of small, light blue hermaphrodite flowers with white or yellow star-shaped centers.

Omphalodes verna/ Creeping navelwort/ オンファロデス ウェルナ

ベツレヘムの星とも呼ばれるオーニソガラムの仲間です。日本のアマナに似た花でオオアマナとも呼ばれます。
Dwarf plant bearing dense clusters of white, starry flowers with peppermint green stripe.

Ornithogalum sibthorpii/Ornithogalum sigmoideum / オーニソガラム

そして、いくつかの日本でもなじみのある花の原種に近い花たちです。上からチューリップ、クロッカス、ヒヤシンス、ムスカリ、そして小型のアイリス、スイセンです。
And belows are some original or wild species of florist's varieties, Tulip, Crocus, Hyacinth, Grape hyacinth and small species of Iris and Narcissus.

Crocus albiflorus/ White Crocus/ クロクス・アルピフロルス

Hyacinthus orientalis/ Common hyacinth/ ヒアシンス

Pseudomuscari azureum/ Azure grape hyacinth/ ムスカリ　アズレアム

Iris reticulata/ Netted iris/ アイリス・レティキュラータ

Narcissus bulbocodium/ Petticoat daffodil/ ナルキッスス・バルボコディウム
