ジュネーブ旧市街を散策 Strolling in a old town in Geneva

出張で滞在中のジュネーブで、夕方に少し時間が出来たので、旧市街を散策してみました。旧市街の丘の上で夕陽に映えるサン＝ピエール大聖堂です。

I had a chance to stroll in a old town of Geneva short time in evening time during my one-week meeting stay. On top of the hill, St. Peter's Cathedral was beautiful against sunset light.

ぶらぶらと歩いていると、十月桜が咲いているのを見つけました。十月桜かどうか確信はもてませんが、花の特徴や枝の様子からは桜であることは間違いないようです。

During my rambling around the Cathedral, I found autumn a cherry blossom “October sakura” unexpectedly, in a backyard of the Cathedral. I am not sure it could be October sakura but I believe it could be one of the cherry variety at least.

そして、小道の坂を下っていく途中の噴水の広場には小菊の花が。まさか秋のジュネーブで、桜と菊を一緒に見られるとは思いませんでした。

Then I walked down though an alley between old buildings, I found small fountain place with Florist's daisy; Chrysanthemum morifolium. I was not expected to see cherry blossom and Chrisanthemum on same time in Geneva.

そして夕暮れのレマン湖畔を散策して、少しリラックスして、明日の会議への英気を少し養いました。

I walked around peaceful beach of Lake Geneva in evening time, and relaxed and recharged my energy to the meeting of next day.

すっかり秋色のジュネーブを楽しんでいます。 I am now in Geneva, here with beautiful autumn leaves.

出張でジュネーブに来ています。ちょうどジュネーブは紅葉が綺麗です。
I am staying in Geneva for attending one-week meeting. It is beautiful autumn leaves now.

レマン湖越しに見えるモンブランもすっかり雪景色です。

Mont Blanc over the Lake Geneva is covered by white snow.

昼休みにジュネーブ植物園を散歩しました。

I just enjoyed rambling in Geneva botanical garden.

ツタの絡まる古い家も雰囲気があります。

国連欧州本部、ここが会議場ではありませんが、すぐ近くが会議場です。

UN European headquarters, here is not my meeting venue but near-by.

初秋の高幡不動から百草園に散歩しました。I walked through countryside in early autumn from Takahata fudoson Kongoji-temple to Mogusaen garden.

気候がよくなってきたので、高幡不動にお参りをして、少し散歩をして百草園に行ってきました。
I walked around in good weather of early autumn, from Takahata fudoson Kongoji temple to Mogusaen garden.

イチョウの木も少し色づき始めています。境内には七五三参りの小さいお子さんもいて、華やいだ雰囲気で、気持ちがいいですね。

Leaves of gingo tree have just changed slightly, and in the grounds, children with Kimono for their Shichi-go-san festival (celebrating 7, 5 and 3years festival) were seen was delighted atmosphere.

そして、高幡不動から、山の傾斜を利用した百草園に散歩しました。

And then I visited a garden named Mogusaen, plenty of natural and hill-side garden.

紅葉にはまだ早く、あまり訪れる人もいなくて、のんびりと園内を散策しました。

It could be a little bit early to watch colored leaves in mountain, I was able to walk around in few vistors.

独特の模様と色のホトトギスの花が、ちょうど見ごろです。
It was best time to see a toadlily with unique pattern and color of petals.

そして、花を幸運を運んでくるという吉祥草、花を見るのは初めてです。
It was the first time to see a flower of Reineckea carnea; Japanese name is Kichijyosou which means flower bring us happiness.

山頂からは、都心のビルが遠くに見渡せます。
For the top of the mountain, I could see skyscrapers in downtown Tokyo.

園内のあちこちにキノコがはえていました。タマゴタケやテングタケでしょうか？毒キノコかどうかもわからないので、そっと見るだけにしました。

In the garden, I found many kind of mushrooms and some could be Amanita family, I could not identify poison or edible mushroom and decided to leave them as they were.

都民の日に多摩動物公園に行ってきました I enjoyed the Tama zoo at Tokyo Metropolitan day, 1st of October

少しアップが遅くなりましたが、１０月１日は都民の日で、東京都の動物園や植物園の入場が無料で、多摩動物公園に行ってきました。最近は植物園には良く行きますが、動物園は久しぶりです。

At 1st of October as a Tokyo Metropolitan day, public zoos or botanical gardens in Tokyo were admission free, so I went to a Tama zoo, since I often visited some botanical gardens recently.

まずは、昆虫標本館で蝶たちに癒されました。
I was relieved by watching many butterflies in insect pavilion.

こうして、手に止まってくれる蝶もいました。

そして最近人気のサーバルキャットやユキヒョウを見て。
And then, enjoyed to watch a Serval-cat and a snow leopard.

やはりライオンは百獣の王ですね。
Lion had a distinguished style of the king.

レッサーパンダでもう一度癒されます。
And then, I was relaxed to see a lovely lesser panda.

すごい人の数に、コアラも疲れたのか、ちょっとお休みでした。
There were many many family visitors in there, a Koara may be very tired.

初秋の深大寺 Jindaiji Temple in early autumn

彼岸も過ぎて、過ごしやすくなって来ましたね。この週末は、まずは深大寺に行ってきました。ススキの穂も伸びてきて、秋の雰囲気です。

I went to a temple named Jindaiji in suburb Tokyo, since it could be best season strolling in country side after autumnal equinox day.

陽の光も随分とゆるやかになってきました。

I feel much gentle sunshine in these days.

近くの神代植物園ではソバの花も見ごろで、誘われるように新蕎麦を楽しんできました。
Near the temple and in a botanical garden, buckwheat was full blooming and I enjoyed buckwheat noodle near by.

神代植物園では、ダリアが見ごろでした。
In the Jindai botanical garden, many kind of dahlia were competing their beauties.

一方、シュウメイギクは可憐な感じですね。
Japanese Anemone is rather pretty instead of gorgeous.

酔芙蓉は紅白で並んでいます。

そして野の花も寒い季節を前に花を咲かせています。
And I can enjoy many autumn wild flowers in the botanical garden.

シラヤマギクは地味ですが、秋らしいです。
White flower of aster scaber is not outstanding but good looking in autumn scene.

フリフネソウは横から見ると可愛いです。
Reddish purple flower of “touch-me-not” ; Tsurifunesou, in Japanese is beauty but charming shape from side view.

カリガネソウ、よく見えれば面白い形です。
Interesting shape of Bluebeard.

タヌキマメは、そういわれれば紫の顔をした狸にも見えます。
Crotalaria sessiliflora, Japanese name “Tanuki-mame” literally peas of raccoon dog, you may imagine raccoon dog with violet face?

花の写真を取っていると、カマキリに邪魔をするなと睨まれました。
I was glared by a praying mantis not for disturbing his hunting.
