所沢のユリ園 Garden of lilies in Tokorozawa
所沢のユリ園でスカシユリを見てきました。ほのかな香りを感じながら、雑木林の中のスカシユリを楽しんできました。
I visited a lily garden in Tokorozawa. My wife and I sauntered in a woods watching full blooming lilies as well as faint fragrant in there. This lily is called “Thunberg lily”, Asiantic hybrid or Sukashiyuri in Japanses.
ユリは交配も進み、色の種類も多く、見分けるのが難しいのですが、茎のてっぺんで、上向きに咲き、花びらの根元がやや透けるのが「透かしユリ」の特徴だそうです。
It could be difficult to distinguish varieties of lilies as many cultivars have been developed by crossing original species and many color petals can be seen. The sukashiyuri is identified as blooming upright on the stem and base of petals can be separated.
スカシユリにもいろんな色あるのを知りました。
I could recognize many colors were in "Sukashiyuri".
このオレンジが一番、一般的な色でしょうか。
It coulle be most popular color, orange.
白のスカシユリは清楚な感じです。I can feel pureness from a white lily.
一転して深紫のゆりは妖艶な感じです。 And then, it is a fascinating dark purple lily.
ピンクのゆりは可愛らしいですね。 Pink lilies are charming.
訪れた時（6月17日）はオレンジ色の花がきれいでしたが、品種によって咲くピークが少しずつ違うようです。
When I visited the garden, orange one was best time but changing best time color by color gradually.

わ、一番乗りかな・・・ラッキー（中学生か）失礼しました
百合もこんなにたくさんあると壮観な眺めなんでしょうね。
オレンジも黄色も元気がもらえそうですが、百合は白のイメージが強いかな。
薄いピンクも可愛いですね～。
でも何故か百合は女性のイメージがします。
そう感じるのは私だけでしょうか（笑）

そうです、やはり一面の百合は壮観でした。
美月さんが言われるように百合は女性の名前にも使われたりして、女性のイメージが強いですね。
吉永小百合さんの影響が強いですしょうか。年がバレますね。

Khaawさん、こんばんは。
本当に美しい場所ですね。お花屋さんの中かと思うほど密生したユリ達ですね。
Khaawさんが書いてあるように、色によって随分と印象が違って来ますね。
沖縄では伊江島（海洋博公園の沖合にある島）という場所で5月に一面白い百合が咲きほこる百合祭りがあるのですよ。所沢では今の時期なのですね。

はい、ユリの印象は色で随分とかわります。それに美月さんもおっしゃているように女性のイメージが強いので、可憐な少女から妖艶な淑女まで色んなイメージがある感じです。
伊江島の百合祭りは5月に開催されるんですね、やはり日本は南北に長くて少しずつ花の見ごろも変わっていきますね。そういえば沖縄は先日梅雨が明けましたね、関東はちょうど梅雨真っ最中です、百合も梅雨ととともに北上するのでしょうか。
