湯島天神へお礼参り/ Revisit to Yushima shrine for showing our appreciation to blessing from God

初詣にお願いした家族の受験へのお礼に湯島天神に行ってきました。

I just visited a Yushima shirine; Guardian God of learning, again for reporting my son's successes of entry examination of a high school and showing our appreciation to the God.

寒空の元、不安な気持ちで願をかけたのが1ヵ月半前、今回は梅の花香る境内をゆっくり楽しむことができました。

Prunus mume/ Japanese apricot/ ウメ　梅　

On a new years day, about one month and half ago, my son and I was very nervous for praying to God, but this time we were able to enjoy full blossoms of Japanese apricot on garden of the shrine.

玉縄桜/ Cherry variety Tamanawa-zakura

大船にある神奈川県立フラワーセンターでは、この植物園で育成されたタマナワザクラ（玉縄桜）が見ごろを迎えています。

In these days, early blooming cherry variety “Tamanawa” is just best seeing time in Ohuna botanical garden in Kanagawa pref.

有名なソメイヨシノから早咲きのものを選抜し育成されたそうで、この植物園の近くにかつてあった玉縄城の名前をとってこの名前がつけられたそうです。ソメイヨシノより1ヶ月以上も早く、ちょうど見ごろを迎えています。

ソメイヨシノに似た可憐なピンクの花です。　Pretty pink flower is looks like somei-yoshino.

Cerasus × yedoensis var. Tamanawa/ Tamanawa zakura/ タマナワザクラ　玉縄桜

The variety is selected from “Somei-yoshino”, the most popular variety in Japan, and registered by this botanical garden and named from the former disappeared castle”Tamanawa castle” near by. The variety is now in the best season that is more than one month from parent variety “somei-yoshino”

玉縄桜で少し早い春を楽しんだあとは、久しぶりに鎌倉の大仏見学をして、ちょっとした週末のドライブを楽しんできました。

I visited The Great Buddha of Kamakura, outdoor bronze statue of budddha, just 15 minutes drive from the botanical garden for enjoying weekend drive trip.

春が少しずつ/ Spring is coming steadily

北風がまだ冷たいですが、木々の花は、少しずつ春の装いになってきました。緋寒桜のつぼみも膨らみ、気の早い花は少しだけ開いています。

Although north wind is still cold, I can find something spring felling in the park.

満作（マンサク）は黄色い星のような花を枝の上に散りばめています。

Hamamelis japonica/ Witch-hazel/ マンサク　満作

Flowers of witch-hazel like yellow star are scattered on their branches.

そして、沈丁花の花も咲き始めました。まだ香りはほとんど感じられませんが、すぐに甘い香りを漂わせてくれると思います。公園の散歩も少しずつ楽しくなってきました。

And then, winter Daphne has just started blooming. Although I could not feel fragrance yet, in short time we can feel sweet spring smell. Now walking in the park becomes more joyful.

河津桜が東京でも/ Kawadzu cherry starts blooming

早咲きの品種で有名な河津桜が私の通勤途中の道でも咲き始めました。
通勤景色が華やぎ始めて嬉しいです。
Early blooming variety of cherry, Kawadzu starts blooming. I can enjoy to watch the blossom on my way to office.
