湧水と清流とミシマバイカモ/ Spring, clear flow and Japanese water-crowfoot

富士山の伏流水の湧水を源流とする柿田川、その清流で有名です。大量の水が湧くところが川の源流となっているので、その源流は普通の川の趣とは異なっています。

Spring of underground water from Mt. Fuji is origin of Kakita river which is famous of its clear water. Huge mount of spring water as start of river shows unique scene of river.

源流近くではあちこちで水が湧き、気持ちよい景色と豊かな自然が保たれています。
You can find many spring near original of the river and see rich nature for relaxing.

その中でも、有名なのがミシマバイカモ。三島市内で発見され、一時は絶滅したと考えられていましたが、柿田川の源流で生息が確認されました。

You may find a kind of a Japanese water-crowfoot “Misima baika-mo” which is found in Mishima city but had been thought as extinct and then found again in the area of origin of Kakita river.

小さな花なのでよく見ないと見過ごしてしまいそうです。
You may miss the flower since it is very small and shown on the water.

柿田川のバイカモは三島市の湧水池にも移植され、身近に見ることができます。佐野美術館の近く、松韻というレストランの前にありました。そのあと、三島名物のうなぎを食べましたが、清流を見た後のうなぎは一味違って感じられたのは気のせいでしょうか？

The found water-crowfoot was transplanted to spring pond in Mishima city and you can see easily in there. The biotope was located near a Sano museum and in front of a restaurant “Shyo-in”. And then I ate a dish of eel, which is also popular in Mishima, I felt much delicious than ever since after I walked along river watching clear flow.
