笑う門には福来る/ Fortune comes in at the merry gate

航空会社主催の立川志の輔さんのバンコク寄席が昨夕行われた。異国に暮らし、ともすれば忘れがちな日本人の心の機微と人情を思い出しながら、本当に心の底から笑えた。この寄席、ひと月前の前売り日に長蛇の列で発売即完売の有名なイベント。そのことを知ってか志の輔さんの噺にもなお一層力が入っていたようにも。弟子の立川志の彦の噺と女道楽の内海英華の艶っぽい三味の音のあと、創作と徂徠豆腐の二題を楽しませていただいた。この公演のあとは、つい蕎麦屋で冷奴とバンコクでは滅多に飲まない冷酒で噺の余韻を楽しんだ。
志の輔さんには、素敵な噺へのお礼と、奇しくも同じ日だった還暦のお祝いを心から贈りたい。

A show of popular comic storyteller (or a Rakugo teller), Shinosuke Tatekawa was performed last night in a hotel in Bangkok、which was organized by a Japanese airliner. I enjoyed the performance definitely by laughing as well as by touching on nicety of Japanese feeling and generous spirits which could be easy to forget when we live in outside Japan. This show is very popular in here in Bangkok and advanced tickets were sold out immediately at the box about one month ago. The performance was very exciting by him with also knowing such story.
Shinosuke performed two story; one was original story and another was classic “Sorai tofu” , after his apprentice, Shinohiko Tatekawa's story and performance of female Shamisen, Japanese three strings banjo player Eika Utsumi.
I enjoyed a cold tofu; Hiyayakko, and Japanese sake at Soba, buckwheat noodle, restaurant after the show.
I would like to express my great appreciation for his best performance for his 60th happy happy birthday from the bottom of my heart!
