ピンクの三頭の象の像/ Three pink elephant statue

王宮とCity pillar shrine（市の守護柱を祀る祠で、トンブリから遷都した際に立てられたバンコク最古の建造物）の間にあるサナムルアンの交差点にある３頭のピンクの象の彫像。フミポン現国王（ラマ９世）の８４歳の誕生日を記念して約２年前に建てられた。
比較的新しいのと王宮やエメラルド寺院に向かうメインルートから少しだけ離れているので訪れる人は多くないが、一度目にすると、ユニークな構図と可愛い色に心引かれるかもしれない。２枚目の写真はcity pillar shrineを、３枚目の写真は王宮・エメラルド寺院をバックに写したもの。

Three pink elephant statue on Sanam Luang junction between the Royal palace and the city pillar shrine that the oldest structure in Bangkok. It is said the sculpture was made in 2011 in honor of King Bhumibol’s 84th birthday.
As it is relatively new monument and a little bit away from main route for visitors to Royal palace or Temple of emerald Buddha, a few tourists visit this statue. However, once you see the statue, you may be attracted by the unique shape and charming colour. 2nd picture is taken with the city pillar shrine and 3rd one with the Royal palace and temple of emerald Buddha.
